I always feel a little sad when flowers start to fade. I love flowers! But fall is definitely my favorite season. I love turning leaves, football, country fairs and the crispness in the air. I love shopping for new fall fashions and beginning my holiday planning. I always feel strong, energized and grateful.

For me, my quilt Awesome African Elephants in My Garden #3 captures this time of year — fading flowers that foreshadow fall excitement.
