Collage portrait quilt by Bisa Butler
All artists are inspired by other artists. Quilters are no different. This weekend I am part of a lucky group of quilters who will take a Master Quilting Class with Bisa Butler. She will teach her technique for making collage portrait quilts.
The class is part of the 2014 Atlanta Quilt a Festival sponsored by the Clara Ford Foundation and Hammonds House Museum. Ms Butler will lecture and show her quilts Saturday, August 2nd at 3:00 pm at South Fulton Arts Center, 4645 Butner Road, a College Park, GA. This event is open to the public.
