I expect everyone on my staff to show up each day with joy and gratitude. Why do I insist on joy and gratitude? Because I believe that we are blessed to be the chosen ones to be able to serve our community and to gain professional fulfillment at the same time.

So it is only fitting that the first memory quilt I made for the DeKalb County Law Department would be named Joy and Gratitude. Each staff member signed a block with whatever wisdom he or she wished to share. Joy and Gratitude is the result. It now hangs in our conference room.

Come by our office and check it out when you are in Decatur. More importantly, make sure you live each day with joy and gratitude.
