Sitting On the Porch on a Southern Summer Night Finds a New Home

Sitting on the Porch on a Southern Summer Night, 30 x 40 inches, by O.V. Brantley, 2011.

It is hard to believe that someone understood completely the feeling I was trying to capture in Sitting on the Porch on a Southern Summer Night, but there is a fellow porch lover who “got it.” This quilt was purchased in my studio store by an Atlanta collector, and I know it is gone to a good home.

This quilt made its  debut at last year’s Atlanta Quilt Festival. The 2012 Atlanta Quilt Festival opens July 29, 2012 at noon at the South Fulton Arts Center, 4645 Butner Road, College Park, GA.  The festival runs through August 11, 2012 with lots of quilting activities in addition to the juried. exhibit. I hope you will plan to attend to see my newest quilts.
