Lovett Lady Lions Win State Championship

2012 Lovett Lady Lions. State Champions!

Saturday was a historic day for the Lovett Women’s Basketball program. They won their first ever State Championship by defeating the Buford High School team 52 -42! It was an amazing thing to be a part of, and India and I enjoyed every minute of it.

When India was a senior in high school in 2010, her version of the Lovett Lady Lions reached the Sweet Sixteen of the State Tournament. That was a historic accomplishment at the time. They continued to work hard, and now they have reached the ultimate goal — state champions!

We can all learn from this team. Goals are not reached all at once. The important thing is to keep moving forward.

Congratulations to the Lovett Lady Lions! You make us proud.
