Pretty and Strong — A Delta Sigma Theta Quilt

I plan to spend a significant amount of time this year making red and white quilts. My sorority Delta Sigma Theta celebrates its centennial next year, and I am sure I will want to gift some quilts.

Pretty and Strong is the first.  This 38 x 38 inch wallhanging is embellished with buttons, appliqued elephants and a butterfly. There are also butterflies in the border fabric. The fabric on the back is a herd of elephants. To see more detail, check it out in my studio store.

There is a hanging sleeve on the back for easy display, and a label that documents the quilt. I signed it on the front. This quilt is one of a kind and was created  with my sorors of Delta Sigma Theta in mind. We love our elephants!
