Lovett Lady Lions Reach the Final Four

India's Basketball Star, 69 x 69 inches, by O.V. Brantley, 2010.

Congratulations to the Lovett Lady Lions for reaching the Final Four of the State Basketball Championships for the first time ever! When India was a senior, the team reached the Sweet Sixteen for the first time, and that was very exciting. I am proud  to know that the team has continued to reach new heights. I know Coach Liz Kennedy and her staff are on cloud nine.

Luckily, the Lady Lions will be playing in Macon next week while India is home for spring break. We plan to have front row seats.

During India’s senior year, I made four Lovett basketball star quilts for the graduating seniors. India’s quilt (shown above) travels with her on all of her trips with the  Pittsburgh Lady Panthers.

Go Lady Lions!
