Queen of Nobody

Queen of Nobody, 48 x 48 inches, by O.V. Brantley, 2007.

Valentine’s Day can be the best of times or the worst of times. For the many women without a special man in their lives, Valentine’s Day can be painful. I made Queen of Nobody to capture that feeling of loneliness. The blues in this quilt and the crazy log cabin pattern carry out the theme of the quilt.

Being with a man is not the only way to feel loved. Spend the day with your special girlfriends. Spend the day with your son or daughter. Spend the day doing something you love.

You may not have a king in your life this year, but you are a queen nonetheless.
