Quiltmaker’s Daughter is 20 today!

India's Basketball Star, 69 x 69 inches, by O.V. Brantley, 2010.

Life seems to go by in a flash. I can hardly believe my daughter India is 20 years old today! Although sometimes I wish I could have my baby back, I am very proud of the young woman she has become.

Followers of my quilting journey know that India has inspired many quilts. For a walk down memory lane, check out my YouTube video entitled Quiltmaker’s Daughter.

Shown above is India’s Basketball Star, which I made to commemorate her basketball career at Lovett. She has continued her interest in basketball by serving as a student manager of the women’s basketball team at the University of Pittsburgh. This quilt goes on every road trip.

Happy Birthday, India!
