A Life of Simple Abundance

Simple Abundance

Most artists view their art as spiritual. I am no exception.

A book that informs my life and my quilting is Simple Abundance by Sarah Ban Breathnach. I find that it helps to keep me focused on living a life of gratitude and joy.

Ultimately, the book teaches you to find your authentic self. Presumably, once you find your  authentic self, she will show up in your art work. So even though it is not technically a quilt book, I recommend it highly. It may help you to create the quilts you were born to create.

My quilt A Life of Simple Abundance was inspired by this book. This quilt is intended to convey an air of serenity and gratitude.

Do you have a special modern day book that informs your life?
