For India, it is always tough to decide which quilts go with her to the University of Pittsburgh and which quilts stay home. This year, Music Girl made the cut, along with India’s Basketball Star and her constant companion AYSC Aliens.

Music Girl is her memory quilt that is part of the African Canvas Memory Quilt series. The idea behind the series is to document your life by adding momentos to the quilt. I think the older you get the more you appreciate pleasant memories. Music Girl was created in 2005.
