I know fall is on the way to Atlanta when I feel just a little crispness in the air when I go out for my morning paper. By noon, it will be unbearably hot again, but I know fall is just around the corner.
Since I have been such a “slacker quilter” this summer, I thought I would share some of my heirloom summer quilts. Shown here is A Southern Summer Day. This quilt is a good example of a “row-by-row” quilt. Birds, butterflies, snails and flowers are all represented in this happy quilt.
