My daughter India will not even sit on our patio, but she loves the Atlanta Young Singers‘ summer camp. She attended as a camper and has returned two years as a counselor. This year, she is enjoying being Head Counselor.
When she was forced to go camping during her junior year at the Lovett School (it was part of the curriculum), I made Live Love Laugh (Even While Camping) to commemorate the occasion. After much complaining about being forced to do it, she survived and learned some things about herself.
The next summer, she spent three weeks in the Ecuadorian rainforest with no electricity on a Spanish immersion trip. Personally, I would not voluntarily live anywhere without electricity! I require my creature comforts.
I absolutely love India’s zest for life. Since I can’t capture it and put it in a bottle, I tried to put it in this quilt.
