Happy Martin Luther King Day!

Martin's Dream, 74 x 87 inches, by O.V. brantley, 2002.

Martin’s Dream is an old fashioned sampler quilt that celebrates traditional quilting. However, it is the border in this quilt that makes the quilt. Black boys, white boys, black girls, white girls, holding hands all around the quilt — and hopefully around the world. Each child is pieced from many very small pieces. Quilters will appreciate how long it took me to complete this border!

Happy Martin Luther King Day!
