Purple Rainforest Finds a New Home

Purple Rainforest, 35 x 40 inches, by O.V. Brantley, 2009.

Good deeds really do lead to blessings. In February of this year, a teacher at the Mary Lin Elementary School found me on the internet and persuaded me to come to the school along with my fellow quilters from the Clara Ford Foundation to take part in the school’s black history program. Introducing 250 students to quilting turned out to be a great joy for my quilters and me. I felt blessed to have had the opportunity to share the art of quilting. Now this same teacher has purchased Purple Rainforest from my studio store! Her purchase  is truly an unexpected extra blessing.

I share this story so that you will keep the true meaning of the holiday season upper most in your mind. Giving the gift of your time and talents is an extraordinary gift that will result in extraordinary blessings.
