Quilts are special because each one seems to evoke memories of a happier time. Memory quilts are even more special because that is their main intent.
My latest quilt is called The Wind Beneath Jessica’s Wings. It is a memory quilt that commemorates my neighbor Jessica Bailey’s graduation from high school in 2009. She is now at the University of South Carolina. It took me a while to finish her quilt, but I know she will love it when she finally receives it. Friends and family signed the squares that make up this quilt. It will only get more special as the years go by.
