Inspiration is Everywhere

Inspiration, 42 x 42 inches by O.V. Brantley, 2004.

No matter what your profession, sooner or later you hit a dry spell. Writers are most famous for this, but it applies to lawyers and quilters alike. You start to feel like you are doing the same thing over and over. You feel like you have no new ideas. In other words, you are in a rut.

Solution:  get out and do  something you don’t normally do and be open to the possibilities. This weekend I attended a bridal shower and  the opening of an art exhibit. I came away from each event with an idea for a quilt. So, today go do something out of the norm and expect to be inspired.

My quilt Inspiration was actually named after a Carnival cruise ship, but it seemed to fit the message. Enjoy!
