A few things had to be left in Atlanta. One was her summer job. India worked at Cold Stone Creamery during the summer to earn money for books. It wasn’t always easy because there were many nights she did not get home until after midnight. It was worth it though. She earned the money she needed for her books. She learned a lot about business, working with people, and smiling when you don’t feel like smiling.
While it was valuable experience for a teenager, every day I reminded her that the reason she is going to college is so she won’t have to work at Cold Stone the rest of her life.
Shown here is India saying good-bye to Cold Stone.
Thank you, thank you so much.

Congratulation on India moving on to college. The next four years will go by fast. My daughter begun her senior year at Tuskegee this past Monday. It seems like she just finished high school. : ) We are looking forward to graduation in May 2011 and her next big step, joining the workforce.
