Creative Frenzy

Happy Alone, 11 x 18 inches, by O.V. Brantley, 2010. For sale at http://www.ovbrant.etsy.com.

After spending so much time managing the 2010 Atlanta Quilt Festival, I found I really missed my quilt studio. I have been on a creative frenzy getting started on new projects. Look for Colored Girl Dreams, Midnight Masquerade, Christmas After You Left, India’s Smile and In Deep Thought to debut in the fall of the year.

The one piece I finished this week  is a small journal quilt called Happy Alone. Solitude is very important to me. I think you have to be happy with yourself before you can be happy with others.

Happy Alone is a small quilt that reflects this sentiment. It is black and white with sparks of orange, green and yellow. It is machine quilted and embellished with buttons.

It is listed for sale in my studio store for only $50.00.
