I am a traditional quilter at heart, but Saturday I participated in a fabric painting class taught by Master Art Quilter Judy Tipton Rush. Judy was in town to teach and lecture as part of the 2010 Atlanta Quilt Festival sponsored by the Clara Ford Foundation.
It was soooo much fun. There was no way to mess anything up. Whatever you came up with turned out beautiful. And it made you feel so creative. My pieces are gorgeous, and I can’t wait to incorporate some of my original fabric into a quilt.
After the class, Judy lectured and showed her amazing quilts. Her work is truly inspiring and seeing her quilts made me anxious to get back into my studio. Look for photos on the Clara Ford Foundation Facebook Page soon.
When was the last time you did something that was out of the ordinary?
