The 2010 Atlanta Quilt Festival opens August 1, 2010 at the South Fulton Arts Center, 4645 Butner road, College Park, GA. The festival will feature two weeks of amazing art quilts, such as African Mask shown above, that interpret the theme A Legacy of Quilting — Look What Big Mama Started.
The 2010 Atlanta Quilt Festival is sponsored by the Clara Ford Foundation and Hammonds House Museum and made possible by a grant from the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation. In addition to quilts and dolls, the festival will feature quilt appraisals, quilt classes, book fair, silent auction and a family day during its two-week run. The festival closes August 13, 2010.
Five of my quilts will exhibit at the festival. They are Swimming Upstream #1, I Believe in Angels #9, A Different Drummer #14, Purple Rainforest and My Music at Midnight.
I hope you will make a point to come out and join the fun at the festival. Admission is free.
