Home Away From Home

India’s home away from home on the PITT campus will be a residence hall called Lothrop. It is near both the medical facilities and the basketball venue. She is lucky to have a single room with over 700 other students in the dorm. I would have preferred that it not be co-ed, but alas, what is a mother to do?!

She will have to adjust to living without air conditioner. What were they thinking when they built a building without air conditioner. (Only northerners would do such a silly thing). I suppose she will survive since she spent three weeks in the rainforest of Ecuador last summer without electricity. I guess those strange life experiences do have their usefulness from time to time.

The best part is that India’s new BFF (best friend forever) will also live in Lothrop. Sometimes life is really grand.
