Time to Dream and Plan

Do Flowers Dream?, 51 x 67 inches, by O.V. Brantley, 2007. For sale at http://www.ovbrant.etsy.com

With the thrill and drama of graduation over, India and I needed some quiet time. We headed off to Callaway Gardens for a peaceful day of nature and bike riding. We  ate lunch in a serene setting, looked at turtles and ducks, and tried to pronounce the Latin names of beautiful azaleas.

I am a great believer in quiet time. Every now and then you need to shut the world out and get in touch with yourself. If you can get your teenager to do it with you, it’s extra special.

Do Flowers Dream? is one of my favorite quilts. I am sure every living thing on earth dreams of being the best it can be. I hope my daughter is dreaming.
