It’s PITT For India!

Teach a Girl to Fish, 26 x 23 inches, by O.V. Brantley, 2009.

After much agonizing and analyzing, India has chosen to attend college at the University of Pittsburgh. India loved the urban setting with lots of her favorite shops, the vibrant arts community and the big time sports program. She is also very impressed with their sports medicine program (which will be her major) and their medical research facilities.

As for her mother, I would have preferred a more “cloistered” campus, but I am resigned to the fact that it is her decision. I  have already located a local quilt shop and I am looking forward to exploring Amish country when I am in the area. I think we will both be happy.

My quilt Teach a Girl to Fish says it all for me. I think I have taught India to fish, and I know she will have no trouble making her own mark on the world.
