Food, Friends and Quilts

Fabric is Better Than Food Brunch attendees, 2009.

Life's Twists and Turns, 76 x 99 inches, by O.V. Brantley, 2002.

The 9th Annual Fabric is Better Than Food brunch was a rousing success. As usual we had perfect attendance, and we always enjoy catching up.

This year’s challenge was to make a bargello quilt, and the creativity of the quilters was absolutely amazing. Since I did not meet the challenge this year, I showed what I called my “historical” bargello called Life’s Twists and Turns.

The food was catered by This is It BBQ and Seafood, so needless to say we ate too much. The mimosas were fabulous. Desserts included Bessie’s specialty called Happy Cake! (Draw your own conclusions).

I hope you are making a special effort to spend time with people you enjoy.
