We all go through periods of doubt, especially artists and writers. Creating is a lonely business, and it is impossible to know whether your work will be accepted in the end. It’s easy to just say “what’s the use and toss in the towel.” I think that is why many really talented people never reach their highest potential. They just give up.

Life has many twists and turns. There is no straight path to the finish line. Know that the very next phone call you get could change your life. Be ready.
