Yes, retirement can be like a bowl of cherries, but it is up to you to pick the cherries. Retirement offers an opportunity to fill your life with things you love and to leave behind some of the things you don’t. However, like most things in life, retirement is what you make it. I prefer to think of it as a new beginning.

While reflecting on life choices, it seemed it a good time to share a personal quilt call Retirement is a Bowl of Cherries. It was a retirement gift from my good friends Bessie Barnett, Cathy Johnson, Maxine Moore, Rosalind Newell,  Laura Sorton and Marva Swanson.

I absolutely love this quilt!
