Teach a Girl to Fish is an inspirational quilted wallhanging that measures 26 x 23 inches. It gets its name from the proverb, “Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime.”

The quilt starts with an appliquéd fish block in the center. This block was purchased in Costa Rica during  our 2008 spring break cruise. The fish and the ocean in which she swims is embellished with crystals and beads. The fish block is complemented by several borders. Inspirational words such as “Persistence” “I Know I Can” and “Dare to Dream” and a charm that says “Nurture” complete the theme of the quilt.

There is a hanging sleeve on the back of the quilt for easy display and a label that documents the quilt. It is signed and dated.

Teach a Girl To Fish is offered for sale in my studio store for $175.00
