From Africa To Atlanta By Way of Arkansas, 72 x 72 inches, by O.V. Brantley, 2004.
A new thing for me this fall is making a concerted effort to share my quilts more frequently. As much as my readers tell me they love reading the blog, they love seeing the quilts in person more.
So I have assembled a trunk show of my quilts with a presentation called A Life of Quilts — Lessons Learned from the Quilts of O.V. Brantley. Today I did a trial run at the Helene Mills Multi-Purpose Senior Center. I think the seniors really enjoyed it. I know I did, and if the quilts could talk, I think they would say they were happy to be out of the closet.
If you are a member of a group, guild, sorority or club that would enjoy looking at quilts and hearing the stories behind them, email me to book a date. My appearance fee is $100 for presentations in the metro area.
