Uncommon Legacy will be part of the 150 quilts on display at the Brown Sugar Stitchers Quilt Show. The show opens August 1, 2009 at 10 a.m. and continues through August 7, 2009 at the South Fulton Arts Center, 4645 Butner Road, College Park, GA. Admission is free.

Uncommon Legacy is appliquéd by hand. The quilt was a “block of the month” at Intown Quilters quilt shop in Decatur.  I named it Uncommon Legacy because the traditional Baltimore album blocks are done in unusual colors. Also setting the blocks on a black background is unusual for the traditional Baltimore album quilt.
