Best Year Ever, a gift for O.V. Brantley from the Brown Sugar Stitchers, 2009.

Yesterday, at my last meeting as President of the Brown Sugar Stitchers Quilt Guild, I was awarded the “President’s Quilt” in keeping with the tradition in the guild. It is called Best Year Ever which was the theme of my presidency.

Of course all members of  Delta Sigma Theta sorority love red and white quilts, and I am no exception. We are kind of partial to elephants too. The elephants will keep me strong, but having an angel in the corner will always remind me I am loved. The exquisite quilting was done by Maxine Moore.

Best Year Ever will be a special guest at the Brown Sugar Stitchers’ Quilt Show August 1-7, 2009 at the South Fulton Arts Center, 4645 Butner Road, Colege Park, GA. Come by and share my joy.
