India left yesterday for Ecuador with teachers and other Lovett students shown here. She is spending the next three weeks in a Spanish immersion program in the rainforest of Ecuador. Lovett owns the land called Siempre Verde and it has long been a spot for students to study fauna and flora. This is the first year that a spanish curriculum has been offered. While the students do sleep in cabins and there is running water, I understand there is no electricity!
The group arrived safely in Quito last night. Today they take the 10 hour bus ride to Siempre Verde. Tomorrow they begin their routine of studying, living and playing in Spanish. I am sure that such a fabulous trip will inspire a quilt. Stay tuned!
