Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, is dead. He will be laid to rest tomorrow. Judging from the news accounts, he left behind disputes in every aspect of his life — custody, creditors, intellectual property, contracts and on and on. There are enough issues to keep a multitude of lawyers busy and rich for years.
Maybe some of the litigants will consider mediation to resolve some of the disputes. It would be faster and cheaper with a more satisfying result. Then the rest of us could get on with just enjoying the music.
