Brittany Earns Her Air Tran Wings

Brit with Airtran A.2009Yesterday, my niece Brittany (one of my roommates) graduated from Air Tran’s Flight Attendant training program. It was four weeks of  blood, sweat and tears, but since she was one of the strong, she survived.

I must say I have a new respect for flight attendants and what they must go through for the privilege of serving you a coke on a plane.  In short, they know how to save your life if it becomes necessary. I know I was the proudest person in the room when they pinned her wings on her.

Today, like many graduates everywhere, she embarks on a new life full of courage and optimism. Her first flight is today from Atlanta to San Francisco and back. She is so excited to have a career where she can truly see the world and meet all kinds of people.

Congratulations, Brittany! I think there is another quilt in your future.

Sarah Cannon said that Charles and Brittney were coming by to see me after their visit with the Cannon’s but I missed them…hopefully another time.
I really like the tribute to your father,it was beautiful….having met both of your parents,I found them to be loving, caring and proud of their children and grands.
Tell India hooray for surviving the woods and critters.
When I was a little girl we would go camping in the Smoky Mt.,there were bears then that wouldn’t bother you but I understand now they are ferocious and will devour you if you wander off into their space…whew!
