Flowers Growing Free, 84 x 84 inches, by O.V. Brantley, 2004.
When I was growing up, tradition dictated that lawns could not be mowed before Easter. Makes sense, right? Otherwise, how would you hide the Easter eggs? So this week, even in the most immaculate of neighborhoods, it is okay to allow your yard to grow freely.
My quilt Flowers Growing Free is one of my personal favorites, and it hangs in my library during the spring.
Enjoy!
