Attitude is All. Fix Yours.
The graduation ceremonies are over– diplomas awarded, caps thrown in the air, proud pictures taken. Now it’s time to figure out what to do with that fancy degree in the toughest job market ever.
My advice is to remember that “attitude is all.” You got the degree from a top school. Chances are you will get the interview. But what is it that makes you be the chosen one rather than the person who went in the interview before you? It’s attitude.
Do you exude confidence or are you shaking with fear? Do you seem enthusiastic about life or do you seem negative? Do you seem energetic or do you appear as if life has beat you down? Do you appear strong or will you quit when the going gets tough?
In my former life when I hired people, these are the qualities I looked for during an interview. You can be the most technically talented person in the world, but if the attitude is not right nothing else matters.
So this week I share a quilt that is a gentle reminder to all the graduates (and other job seekers) that if you do not want to be the unemployed one standing in the soup line, fix your attitude! This quilt is one of my Fulton County Attorney signature quilts called Will Litigate For Food.
Enough said.

Until next week, remember that attitude is all, and by all means, stay on the high road!
