I love those times of the year when, as a nation, we stop, forget about our problems and say TIME OUT! It’s time to have fun. Gone are the worries of a stock market crash, sky high gas prices, devastating hurricanes, divorces, car wrecks, unemployment and every other bad thing that consumes us. The Super Bowl, the Final Four, the Olympics and, of course, the World Series are such times. We need these times to maintain our sanity.
Another way to have fun or at least to cope is to remember that there are those much worse off than you are. Great joy can be had by helping someone less fortunate. All of sudden you realize your situation is not so bad after all. A wiser word was never said than, “I was worried about having no shoes until I met a man with no feet.”
So this week, I share with you Dressed for the Dance. This was my Carrie Steele Pitts quilt in 2005. Whenever I think of this quilt, I say a small prayer that the recipient is somewhere having fun.
So how about you? Ready to have some fun?

Until next week, go out and have some fun, and by all means, stay on the high road!
