Happy Easter!

Heavenly Melody, 48 x 48 inches, by O.V. Brantley, 2006.

When I was growing up, the most memorable thing about Easter was getting new clothes. We always got a new Easter dress. Oh yeah, and the Easter egg hunts were fun too. Do people still dye eggs? My Mom sure did.

However, as I have gotten older, I think of Easter as a new beginning — a time to once again resolve to be my best self. It’s never too late to begin again.

I wish you a new beginning  this Easter!

Heavenly Melody was featured in a quilt exhibit at the Art Station Gallery in Stone Mountain, GA in 2006. It is owned by my neighbor and friend Connie Marshall.
